Agrimony  has been used since ancient times. The Greeks used it as a remedy for ailments of the eye and the herb’s name is derived from the Greek word Argemone which means plant that heals the eye.

• Digestive Issues: As an anti-inflammatory agent, agrimony has often been used to eliminate digestive and gastrointestinal issues, particularly diarrhoea and other Irritable Bowel Syndrome symptoms.

• Respiratory Issues: Agrimony is widely used to improve respiratory conditions that may involved inflammation, such as sore throats, chronic coughing, bronchitis, and other sinus issues. For colds, coughs, and flus, agrimony can be an effective way to speed up the recovery and healing process.

• Skin Health: When you are suffering from blemishes, pimples, rashes, acne, psoriasis, eczema, or any other skin condition, you can topically apply agrimony to the affected area and it can help to alleviate the issue. Agrimony can also be taken orally for the same effect.

• Detoxify the Body: Agrimony’s active ingredients, such thiamin, quercitrin, and catechins, have been directly linked to liver and gallbladder health.

To make an infusion, place 1-2 teaspoons of dried herb in a tea infuser or teapot or mug for each cup of tea you intend to brew. Cover with boiling water. Place on the lid (or cover your cup with a saucer). Allow the mixture to steep for 10 'to 15' minutes or overnight. Then strain the tea and serve. Drink 1-3 cups of tea a day Add if you want honey, milk or lemon wedge for flavour.

Agrimony is POSSIBLY SAFE for most adults when used short-term. But large amounts of agrimony are POSSIBLY UNSAFE because agrimony contains chemicals called tannins.
