With tiny white blossoms and pointed, narrow leaves, lemon verbena, also sometimes called luisa, gets its name from the lemony fragrance of the leaves when they are crushed.

To make an infusion, place one tablespoon of dried herbs into a ceramic teapot, mug or mason jar for each cup of tea you intend to brew. Cover with boiling water. Place on the lid (or cover your cup with a saucer) and let steep for 10-15 minutes or overnight.
Lemon verbena is safe for most people when consumed in amounts found in alcoholic beverages. It also seems to be safe when taken in appropriate amounts as a medicine. It can cause skin irritation (dermatitis) in some people
