Java tea comes from a tropical plant whose taste is reminiscent of the well-known green tea. Java is a variety of tea with a light, mild and woody taste, mild, earthy aroma with a dark distillate color.

–  Java tea is sometimes taken as “irrigation therapy.” This means it is taken along with lots of fluids to increase urine flow. It is also used for bladder and kidney disorders, including bacterial infections and kidney stones.

–  It is known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that help in health.

–  Java tea is also good at relieving stress and fatigue and has strong antioxidant properties that help protect against free-radical damage and the signs of aging.

–  It is ideal for weight loss and to boost metabolism.

To make an infusion, place 1-2 teaspoons of dried herb in a tea infuser or teapot or mug for each cup of tea you intend to brew. Cover with boiling water. Place on the lid (or cover your cup with a saucer).

Allow the mixture to steep for 10′ to 15′ minutes or overnight.

Then strain the tea and serve. Drink 1-3 cups of tea a day.

(the last dose at least 2-3 hours before bedtime).

No adverse side effects have been recorded when the plant is used in therapeutic doses.

To be avoided in pregnancy & breastfeeding due to lack of data.

Avoid using it as a treatment in case of edema when fluid retention is of renal or cardiac etiology.
