Lemon balm is an herb with a citrus aroma that belongs to the mint family. It is rich in antioxidants: flavonoids, terpenes and polyphenols. It has been used as a natural remedy for many ailments for centuries, but what are its benefits:
- Lemon balm is used for nervous agitation, sleeping problems, functional gastrointestinal complaints, menstrual cramps and urinary spasms.
- Mental Clarity, Concentration and Relaxation: Lemon balm is widely used to treat anxiety and insomnia. It reduces anxiety and stress and eases sleep disorders.

To make an infusion, place 1-2 teaspoons of dried herb in a tea infuser or teapot or mug for each cup of tea you intend to brew.
Cover with boiling water. Place on the lid (or cover your cup with a saucer).
Allow the mixture to steep for 10 ‘to 15’ minutes or overnight.
Then strain the tea and serve. Drink 1-3 cups of tea a day
Lemon balm is generally considered safe to use but possible side effects may include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, dizziness, and wheezing.
