Lemongrass is a plant rich in numerous essential nutrients such as vitamins A and C, as well as magnesium, zinc, folic acid, manganese, copper, calcium, potassium, phosphorus and iron.

No harmful side effects have been established for long-term use of lemon grass, but moderate initial use is recommended, and it should not be used by women who are pregnant or breast-feeding. People with kidney or liver diseases should not use lemon grass in any form and people allergic to lemon grass should not use or handle the herb.
