Juniperus communis, commonly known as the common juniper, is a species of evergreen shrub or small tree in the family Cupressaceae. It is native to a wide range of regions, including Europe, Asia, and parts of North America. It is often used as incense for its aromatic smoke or brewed as a tea for its medicinal properties. Its flavour is often described as woody and slightly spicy with notes of citrus and pepper.
