Walnut Dried Cut Shells are the hard, woody outer casings of walnuts, typically from the Juglans nigra (black walnut) tree. It belongs to the botanical family Juglandaceae. Walnut trees are native to regions of North America, Europe, and Asia, and their shells have been historically valued for their durability and bioactive compounds. These shells are dried and cut into smaller pieces for practical use in cosmetic applications, or natural dyeing. They are not edible and are used solely for external or industrial purposes.

When wet or dry walnut shell is boiled for 10 minutes in water and applied to the skin, it is good for acne and skin spots. It has been observed that acne and spots on the face have disappeared when dry walnut shell water is applied on the skin.
